Of birds and bees

Tawny Owl box installed on a tall pine in the Corsican Pine area. Chose this area as many years ago I found a young Tawny in there, doing what is known as "branching", moving away from the nest, and have known owls to roost in there.

I managed to rig up a simple pulley system to manage the weight of the box. Success with a nesting owl is far from guaranteed !
