I put out a few tins for reptiles along the ride at the southern edge of the wood and regularly find Grass Snakes and Slow worms together under them with Common Lizards basking on the top of the tin when it is warm enough. One of the snakes I have seen a lot of is particularly well marked and looks very dapper.

When it is warm they quickly flee from view when the tin is lifted and make getting a photograph really difficult.
